WELCOME
The "U" in TCU stands for University and the foundation of your TCU experience will be your classroom interaction with faculty and students- Academic Orientation gets that started.
During your two days on campus you will:
•Build the foundation of your academic life
•Live in a first year residence hall
•Receive your Resource Guide to TCU
•Learn the nuts and bolts of academic programs
•Be guided by upperclass Orientation Student Assistants
•Meet with an academic advisor
•Enroll for your fall semester classes
•Learn college tips from our best faculty members
•Meet other new students and outstanding upperclass student mentors
•Begin your journey as a Horned Frog!
Every new TCU student is REQUIRED to attend Academic Orientation. It's
the only way you can register for your classes and learn the nuts and
bolts of academic life at TCU. We strongly encourage parents/guardians
to attend Orientation with their student. The program is most beneficial
when students and families attend together. Some activities are for
student only, some for parents only, and some are for both. (Other
family members are welcome to attend, but please note that no activities
will be planned specially for them, and many activities will be too long
or inappropriate for small children to attend.)
