WELCOME

The "U" in TCU stands for University and the foundation of your TCU experience will be your classroom interaction with faculty and students- Academic Orientation gets that started.

During your two days on campus you will:

•Build the foundation of your academic life •Live in a first year residence hall
•Receive your Resource Guide to TCU •Meet with an academic advisor
•Be guided by upperclass Orientation
  Student Assistants
•Learn the nuts and bolts of academic
  programs
•Meet other new students and outstanding
  upperclass student mentors
•Learn college tips from our best faculty
  members
•Enroll for your fall semester classes •Begin your journey as a Horned Frog!

Every new TCU student is REQUIRED to attend Orientation. It's the only way you can register for your classes and learn the nuts and bolts of academic life at TCU. We strongly encourage parents/guardians to attend Orientation with their student. The program is most beneficial when students and families attend together. Some activities are for students only, some for parents only, and some are for both. (Other family members are welcome to attend, but please note that no activities will be planned specially for them, and many activities will be too long or inappropriate for small children to attend.) Orientation is a full program, from check in to the last activity on day 2. Do not plan to leave campus or schedule other activities during orientation.
